The 115 Acre Mountainside Enrichment and Education Campus is located at 2914 Roderick Road in Urbana Maryland. M.E.E. provides the very best environmental education through our before and after school programs, and our challenge and retreat center. The Mountainside campus is home to a vast number of environmental initiatives, one of the largest high and low ropes courses in Maryland and many other amenities. All of the facilities on the Mountainside Campus are used to teach adults and children how to protect the environment in a fun and engaging way. |
Environmental InitiativesTo date Mountainside has received over $400,000 in grants to fund the environmental initiatives on the campus. These grants were made possible through our partnership with organizations such as the Potomac Conservancy, The Monocacy Catoctin Watershed Alliance, Ducks Unlimited, The Frederick County Department of Public Works, The Farm Services Agency, the Chesapeake Bay Trust, the U.S.D.A., and the E.P.A. Ropes Course & Other AmenitiesWe know that both children and adults learn better when they are in an exciting and stimulating environment, Mountainside has an expansive high ropes course to challenge even the most adventurous individuals. At the low ropes course groups learn team building and problem solving skills. For the sports minded Mountainside has almost every kind of court and field possible from basketball to street hockey. When it is time to go inside everyone can have fun in the art room or game room. To top it all off Mountainside also has an event tent for meetings and Yurt villages for overnight stays. |
